Backup & Restore
Review seven days of store configuration changes and restore supported store settings.
Overview
Store settings → Backup & Restore (/en/settings/backup) keeps revision history for supported store configuration. Revisions are retained for 7 days.
The page defaults to Today and provides type filters for the supported data groups. This is change history and targeted restore, not a downloadable ZIP archive.
What backups cover
- Catalog data, variants, add-ons, categories, and image references
- Shipping profiles and rules
- Store setup, storefront pages, home blocks, and Shop block configuration
- Library template, tax rates, coupons, and public payment configuration
- AI instructions and knowledge-base documents
- Booking services, staff, and availability configuration
- Automations, Flow preferences, and Meta preferences
Payment and Meta secrets or tokens are not restored. Knowledge Base search indexes are rebuilt automatically from restored documents.
Restore a change
- Open Store settings → Backup & Restore.
- Select the date and data type you want to inspect.
- Open a revision and review its before/after information.
- Confirm the restore only when you understand which configuration will change.
- Recheck the related product area and customer-facing storefront after restore.
Important follow-up
Some external systems cannot be rolled back by restoring OrderInChat settings. After restoring Flow or Meta preferences, reconnect or republish in Meta when required. Always test checkout, payments, and storefront pages after a broad restore.
Troubleshooting restore
| Symptom | What to try |
|---|---|
| Revision list empty for a day | Retention is 7 days. Older changes are gone. Switch the date filter to Today or a recent day; clear the type filters if they hide rows. |
| Restore succeeded but storefront looks old | Hard-refresh your storefront in the browser; confirm you restored pages / store setup / library template revisions, not only catalog. |
| Meta catalog or Flow still wrong after restore | Meta connections and published Flows are not included in backups. Reconnect Meta / republish the Flow after restoring prefs. |
| Knowledge Base answers stale | Documents restore; search indexing reruns after restore. Wait for re-indexing, then re-test; answers may not update instantly. |
| Payment methods missing secrets | Expected — public payment config restores; secrets/tokens are never restored. Re-enter credentials in Payment Setup. |
| Want a full ZIP of the store | Backup & Restore is revision history only. There is no ZIP download. |
Optional: after a large restore, walk checkout (product → cart → pay) and one booking path on a test number before announcing to staff.
Not included
- A full archive or ZIP download
- Historical records older than the seven-day retention window
- Secret payment credentials, access tokens, or Meta tokens
- Customer transactions such as completed orders or appointment records
