WhatsApp Flows

Overview

WhatsApp Flows let customers complete structured forms inside WhatsApp. OrderInChat provides separate Templates and My Flows areas, Flow response records, AI translation, and a Checkout template for commerce.

Templates and My Flows

• Templates contains starting points you can recreate for your WhatsApp Business account.
• My Flows contains flows associated with your store and their current Meta status.
• AI Translate prepares customer-facing flow text for another language; review the result before publishing.
• Flow Responses shows submitted form data.

Checkout flow

The Checkout template is the primary structured checkout path for WhatsApp. It collects contact, shipping, and payment information and can use store catalog quantities and available shipping rates.

OrderInChat can send the currently published Checkout flow when a customer is ready to order. Recreating or editing a template in OrderInChat does not make it live automatically: the merchant must publish the flow in Meta and verify the published version.

Opening the Flows page never creates or translates anything by itself. The Checkout flow is created only when you press Create checkout flow on the Flows page; it is published in your store's default language, and translating it into other languages uses AI credits.

Publish checklist

1. Open Marketing → Flows.
2. Recreate a template or open an existing flow.
3. Review screens, required fields, translations, and connected store data.
4. Save or upload the JSON when required.
5. Publish through Meta.
6. Send a real WhatsApp test and submit the form.
7. Confirm the submission under Flow Responses and continue through checkout.

Important limitations

• A draft or recreated flow is not customer-ready until it is published in Meta.
• Changes to a published flow may require a new publish cycle.
• Meta connection and review requirements still apply.
• Test on a phone because Flows render inside the WhatsApp mobile client.
