Media Library
Upload, organize, preview, reuse, and clean up your store images, videos, and documents.
Overview
Media Library (/en/images) keeps your store's images, videos, and documents together. The page address is still /images, but it now lists all supported files in your store's media storage.
Use Images, Videos, and Documents filters to switch file types. The sidebar keeps the existing folder tree under an Images parent, plus separate All Videos and All Documents entries. Open folders are remembered after refresh; use Collapse all to close the tree. Search, folder, and size filters can narrow the current view further.
Browse, preview, and organize
- Use the folder tree and breadcrumb to move between product, page, AI-generated, support, logo, and upload folders.
- Chat attachments are saved under
docs/webchat, in subfolders by panel section and date. - Product import images are saved under
docs/products/, in one subfolder per product. - Deleting a product also deletes its cover, gallery, description images, variant/add-on images, and older import copies when they are not used elsewhere.
- Product folders use product names and include linked AI-generated images.
- Select an image to open the lightbox and review where it is used.
- Select a video to play it in the preview dialog.
- Select a document to open it in a new tab or download it.
- Use Move to to reorganize a file without uploading it again.
Image pickers used elsewhere in the dashboard remain image-only, even though the full Media Library also contains videos and documents.
Import image quality
Product gallery / cover and description photos are filtered on import:
- Images smaller than about 250,000 pixels in total (width × height) are skipped (e.g. 400×400 is skipped; 600×450 is kept).
- Icons, banners, related-product thumbnails, and other non-product images are excluded — only genuine product photos become gallery or cover images.
- Values such as
1920×1080are not imported as package dimensions (they are screen resolutions). - Marketplace extended-warranty extras (e.g. Tekno Garanti) are not imported as add-ons.
Upload types and limits
The Media Library accepts supported image formats, MP4/WebM/MOV video, and documents such as PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, text, JSON, and XML. ZIP, RTF, and OpenDocument (ODT/ODS/ODP) uploads are not accepted.
| File type | Maximum upload size |
|---|---|
| Image | 5 MB |
| MP4 video | 250 MB |
| Document | 20 MB |
Files over these limits are rejected before upload and checked again by the server. These Media Library limits are separate from WhatsApp and Meta inbox media limits. Knowledge Base document uploads are also 20 MB per file.
Note: For Knowledge Base AI indexing, file size is only the upload cap — extracted text is split into sections and capped (see the Knowledge Base article). Dense files can hit content limits before 20 MB.
Image optimization
Uploaded images are compressed and limited to a maximum 1920-pixel edge. The library keeps the main image and generates optimized 256, 400, and 1000-pixel variants where needed. Your storefront loads an appropriate image size automatically.
Prefer square images for product cards and inspect the live storefront after replacing a product or branding image. Videos and documents are stored as files and do not receive image variants.
Duplicates and cleanup
Use Find duplicates for matching images. When duplicate product images are merged, product references are moved to the kept file before extras are deleted.
Use Delete unused to scan for files that are not linked to products, pages, the store logo, blog posts, or support tickets. Review the preview list, then confirm to permanently delete them (size variants are removed with each original). Support-ticket folders and files still tied to an active product folder are skipped.
Before deleting an image, check Used on. Product deletion can also clean up stored product images. For videos and documents, confirm that no shared link or page still depends on the file before deletion.
Storage usage
The header shows total Media Library storage against the included 1 GB allowance. One segmented bar uses different colors for images (including variants), videos, and documents, with each type's size and percentage shown below it. At 90% or more, the page warns you to delete unused files or review Billing.
A paid subscription can add storage in 1 GB units for $3 per GB/month. The purchased capacity is added to the included 1 GB and uploads are rejected when the resulting limit would be exceeded.
