Social Media Auto-Post
Connect Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for blog auto-post and Create & Send.
Overview
Marketing → Social Media (/en/settings/social-media) has two tabs:
- Connections — link Facebook Pages, Instagram Professional, and LinkedIn for publishing.
- Create & Send — compose a caption with optional image or reel and publish without writing a blog article.
The same Create & Send composer is also under Marketing → Social posts (/en/settings/social-posts).
Blog auto-post still shares a published blog article to the networks you enable. Create & Send is independent of the blog.
Publishing is supported, but each network still requires its own approved connection and permissions. A saved setting does not guarantee that the external platform will accept a post.
Create & Send
- Connect Meta (and LinkedIn if needed) under Connections.
- Open Create & Send (or Marketing → Social posts).
- Select networks, choose format (Post / Reels / Auto), and write a brief or caption.
- Optionally pick media from the Media Library, or ask AI to draft the caption and generate a still / short reel (uses AI credits).
- Review the preview, then Publish.
Instagram always needs an image or video. AI vision reads your attached image when drafting the caption. Video generation can take longer and bills video credits.
Schedule a post
Next to Publish, Schedule saves the post with a date and time. You pick the time in your browser's time zone (shown under the picker); it is stored in UTC, so every viewer sees it in their own time zone. Each history row shows its planned day and time, or Not scheduled, and scheduled posts are listed first, soonest on top. Use Change time or Remove schedule on the row until it goes out. At the planned minute the post publishes on its own; if that fails, the row turns Failed with the reason, and you can schedule it again.
Bulk schedule plans many drafts at once. Tick the drafts in the history (or Select all drafts on this page; your choice stays while you change pages), then click Bulk schedule. Pick the start date and time, then either Every N minutes (posts per day and the minutes between them) or Fixed times (for example 09:00, 13:00, 18:00); you can also skip Saturdays and Sundays. These times are in the store time zone (the booking time zone, else the store country's zone), shown in the dialog, and summer/winter time changes keep the same clock time. The preview lists every post with its planned day and time before you confirm. Only drafts are scheduled; a post that was published or changed status in the meantime is skipped and listed with the reason, while the others are still scheduled.
Facebook and Instagram
Facebook and Instagram reuse the store's Meta Embedded Signup connection; do not paste an access token.
- Facebook publishes to the connected Page.
- Instagram requires a Professional or Business account and image or video media.
- Meta must grant
pages_manage_postsandinstagram_content_publishbefore publishing works. - Messaging-only Meta permissions are not enough for social publishing.
After Meta grants the permissions, reconnect if necessary and publish a test post with media.
One Facebook and Instagram account per store
Each OrderInChat store connects one Facebook Page and one Instagram Professional account (inbox messaging and auto-post share that same Meta link).
Your storefront and AI already support many languages on that single connection — customers can write in their language and the assistant replies in kind. You do not need a separate Meta account per storefront locale.
If you truly need separate Facebook or Instagram accounts per language (for example one Page/IG for Turkish and another for English), open a second OrderInChat store and connect those accounts there. Linking multiple Facebook or Instagram accounts on a single OrderInChat store is not supported.
LinkedIn publishing uses your personal member profile: posts appear under the connected member's name. Company Page management is out of scope by design — it would need Page admin rights on LinkedIn plus a separate product approval (Community Management API), while a personal connection works immediately and is simpler to manage.
- Open Marketing → Social Media → Connections and select Connect LinkedIn.
- Approve access on LinkedIn; only
openid,profileandw_member_socialare requested. - Turn on Auto-post, or pick LinkedIn in Create & Send.
Advanced (optional): Use your own LinkedIn app — create an app in the LinkedIn Developer Portal with Sign In with LinkedIn using OpenID Connect and Share on LinkedIn, add the exact redirect URL shown on the page, then enter the Client ID and Client Secret and save.
Member tokens last about 60 days; the Connections tab warns before expiry and offers Reconnect. First comment (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram): when LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram is selected, Create & Send shows a First comment field below the media — it is posted under the post on each of these networks about one minute after publishing, as the account that published it (links, sources, @mentions). LinkedIn: @mentions that arrived with a partner post stay linked only while their names remain in the text; a removed name is listed under the field and one click puts it back. Facebook (as the Page) and Instagram get the same text as plain text: names stay unlinked on Facebook; on Instagram a name becomes @username when its partner mention carries an Instagram username, and an @username typed into the text works too. Stories get no comment. Meta needs the comment permissions (pages_manage_engagement, instagram_manage_comments); if it refuses, the post stays published and the history shows the error. Until then the history shows First comment queued, posted automatically; if a network does not take it yet (a LinkedIn video is still being processed), it is tried again every minute, up to 10 more times. Write first comment now on a published post fills in only the networks that are still missing. Several images: the preview becomes a carousel (arrows, ← / → keys, swipe, dots, "2/9"). LinkedIn takes at most 9 images per post, Facebook and Instagram 10 — the preview warns when there are more.
Blog auto-post checklist
- Connect the target networks and confirm their status on the Connections tab.
- Create or edit a blog post and add a cover image for Instagram.
- Publish the post (with auto-post enabled for those networks).
- Check each selected network directly.
- If one network fails, review that network's connection and permissions; successful networks do not prove the others are authorized.
X, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp Channels, Pinterest, Reddit, and Instagram Stories are not part of this feature. Catalog XML feeds are separate.
