Product Editor

Overview

The product editor opens when you create or edit a product from Catalog → Products.

Typical fields

• Title, description, media gallery
• Pricing (sell / compare-at as shown in UI)
• Subscription (optional): sell as recurring billing — works with Stripe and PayPal. Set interval (week / month / year), count, and optional trial days. Configure gateways under Store settings → Payment Setup first. Do not mix subscription and one-time items in the same cart.
• Variants / options when enabled for the product type
• Inventory tracking
• Shipping-related weight when physical

Save often. Unpublished / inactive products do not appear on the live storefront.

Customer subscriptions appear under Sales → Subscriptions.

Layout and saving

The form follows one order: product type → basics (name, price, images) → description → options, variants and add-ons → shipping & stock (or booking for services) → organisation and visibility (categories, brand, tags, channels; Advanced holds SEO, GTIN / MPN, cost, tax and quantity discounts) → Languages.

Required: type and name. A new product needs a price above 0 or the Free product box ticked. Images are recommended; publishing a new product with the WhatsApp catalogue channel on needs at least one image. Missing items show under the field and in the Publish checklist on the right.

The save bar counts unsaved changes and offers Save draft or Save and publish. Leaving the page with unsaved changes asks first. Unsaved translation edits in Languages must be saved or discarded before the product is saved.

An empty MPN stays empty: feeds never get an invented MPN (the SKU is used when there is no MPN).

Start cards, AI help and the variant table

A new product starts with four cards: Start blank, From a photo or text, From a link and File / website / Shopify (the bulk import wizard). The two AI cards show the estimated credits before you click. They only fill the form — nothing is saved until you click Save draft or Save and publish. A link draft copies the page's images into your media library; it does not add the product to your catalog.

Under each description field, AI: Write · Improve · Shorten shows its estimate and returns a suggestion: Use this text replaces the field, Discard leaves it unchanged. AI actions run only when you click; the same input is answered from a saved result without a new charge.

Subscription is a product type: pick it, then choose whether it is delivered physically or digitally. Options (for example Colour and Size) build the variant table automatically on a new product: one row per combination with price, stock and SKU. On an existing product, click Build the variant table once; after that the table follows the options.
