Store Management

Pickup, delivery and order times

Let customers collect their order at your store or have it delivered, as soon as possible or at a time they pick — for restaurants, cafés and takeaways.

This feature is being switched on store by store. If you do not see the Pickup & delivery card in Store setup → 5. Selling rules, it is not on for your store yet.

Where to set it up

Open Store setup → 5. Selling rules. The Pickup & delivery card appears when your store takes payments.

  • Delivery — the order goes to the customer's address. The fee comes from your shipping rules.
  • Pickup — the customer collects the order at your store. No delivery fee and no delivery address are asked.
  • Pickup address — your store contact address, or a separate address you type. Pickup instructions (for example "Ring the bell at the side door") are shown at checkout and in the order confirmation.

Turn on delivery, pickup or both. Pickup orders are taxed in your store country, so pickup needs a store country (the country in Contact & hours, or your default return address). While pickup is on, you cannot remove the last store country.

Order times

Order times apply to pickup and delivery. Leave both off for orders without a time.

  • As soon as possible — shown only while you are open and have enough time to prepare the order before closing. The order is ready at the time of payment plus your prep time.
  • Customer picks a time — time slots are built from your opening hours (exceptions included) in your store time zone. Scheduled orders need opening hours.
  • Prep time (0–240 minutes) — the earliest time is now plus this.
  • Slot length — 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Days ahead — 0 (today only) up to 7 days.

What your customers see

At checkout the customer chooses delivery or pickup and, when order times are on, as soon as possible or a time slot. A pickup order shows the pickup address and has no shipping fee. When the order is placed, the choice is checked again; if the time is no longer available (for example it has passed or you closed), the customer is asked to choose another time.

The AI assistant asks the same questions in the chat and sends a checkout link with the choice already selected; the customer confirms it on the checkout page. While pickup or order times are on, the assistant sends the checkout link instead of the WhatsApp checkout form.

Where you see the choice

  • Orders — a Pickup / delivery column with the time, and a filter for pickup or delivery orders.
  • Order detail — a card with pickup or delivery, the time (with your time zone) and the pickup address.
  • Order confirmation e-mails and WhatsApp messages — pickup or delivery and the time. A pickup order has no shipping address and no shipping notice. Your new-order WhatsApp alert has a PICKUP or DELIVERY line with the time.
  • Printed receipts and invoices — pickup with its time, or the delivery address with the time.
  • Automations — the Lookup Order step gives {{fulfillment_type}}, {{fulfillment_time}} (store time) and {{pickup_address}}.
