Billing

Manage subscription, AI credit wallet, trial vs paid plans, commission policy, and usage (1,000 credits = $1).

Overview

Account → Billing (/en/settings/billing) shows your plan, monthly AI credits, wallet, and invoices.

Credit scale

1,000 credits = $1 of wallet display. Usage is charged in whole credits (rounded up), based on how much text is processed and which AI model is used.

Trial vs paid

StateWhat you see
No Stripe subscriptionStarter (Free trial) — 1,000 free AI credits once in the wallet (they do not renew monthly). Primary CTA: Choose a plan, then Subscribe on a plan card opens Stripe Checkout
Active Stripe subscriptionPaid Starter / Pro / Ultra with status, renewal date and an estimate of the next invoice. Change plan / Upgrade / Downgrade open the in-app plan dialog (see below); Manage in Stripe opens the Stripe Customer Portal for the card and invoices

Your plan may still show as Starter during the free trial — that is not a paid Starter subscription.

Starter$109,000
Pro$2020,000
Ultra$4042,000

Plan picking and plan changes are in-app. Stripe Customer Portal only manages the card, invoices and cancellation of an existing subscription.

Change plan

Change plan, Upgrade or Downgrade on the billing page opens a dialog with the three plans and the storage GB / extra seats you want — one confirmation, one price summary. Other items on the subscription (simultaneous calls, phone line) stay as they are.

  • Upgrade: switches right away. Stripe charges the prorated difference for the rest of the current period to the card on file; the preview shows the exact amount before you confirm. If the card cannot be charged, the plan does not change until the open invoice is paid.
  • Downgrade: starts at the end of the current period; you keep the current plan until then and nothing is refunded. The billing page shows the scheduled change with Keep current plan to cancel it. Storage / seat changes made in the same dialog apply right away (prorated).
  • The preview warns when purchased simultaneous calls are billed but add nothing: an OrderInChat demo number answers its calls for free on its own, and purchased calls only add capacity on your own Twilio number. The link next to the warning takes you to the simultaneous calls add-on, where you can remove them.

Subscription add-ons

Every plan includes 1 GB media storage and 1 user seat (the owner). Active paid subscriptions can add:

  • Storage: $3 per additional 1 GB/month
  • Users: $3 per additional user/month

Change quantities in Account → Billing → Subscription add-ons with the − / + buttons, then Review changes and confirm. Stripe prorates quantity changes. The steppers start at what your subscription has now, and the buttons stay disabled until you change something. Simultaneous phone calls (2 USD a month each) are bought in the same section under Simultaneous phone calls: set the number with − / +, click Buy or Remove, and the confirmation shows the amount charged to your card now before anything happens. Connecting your own Twilio numbers is free.

After save, add-ons appear as extra line items on the same Stripe subscription. They are not a separate subscription. Media uploads use the purchased storage limit; inviting another team member requires an available seat.

Commission on merchant sales

OrderInChat does not take a commission (cut) on ordinary product sales through your store or WhatsApp checkout.

You pay:

  • A subscription (or free trial), and
  • Optional AI credit usage / wallet top-ups

Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Iyzico, banks) may charge their own fees — those are not OrderInChat sales commission.

Optional AI-assisted fee

If you enable Stripe Connect / AI-assisted (agentic) commerce, OrderInChat may charge a small platform fee only on those AI-assisted sales (the percentage is shown in Store settings → Payment Setup; typically around 3%). Direct store sales remain fee-free from OrderInChat.

Wallet top-ups & auto top-up

Require an active paid Stripe subscription. Free trial uses its one-time 1,000 credits in the wallet only — Save is disabled for auto top-up until you subscribe.

Top-up amounts: +$20 / +$50 / +$100 or custom $10–$500 via Stripe Checkout.

Auto top-up charges your saved card for the top-up amount when your remaining AI credits (monthly plan credits + wallet) fall below the threshold you set. It covers every channel (WhatsApp, web chat, panel, AI shopping connector) and usually runs within a minute.

  • At most one automatic top-up per day, and the day's total stays within your Daily limit (default: one top-up amount, up to $500; set it next to the amount and threshold). The day resets at midnight in your store's timezone (UTC if none is set). If credits run low again the same day, nothing is charged: the owner gets one email and one panel notification that day, and you can top up manually on the billing page. The auto top-up card shows Today: done / not done with a manual top-up button.
  • If the card is declined or needs authentication, we try again after 1 hour — update your card under Manage Subscription.

Invoices

After you subscribe, the Invoices section on the billing page lists your Stripe invoices with View invoice links. Card changes and cancellation (at the end of the period) are under Payment method → Update card / Cancel at period end, which open the Stripe Customer Portal.

  • AI usage detail: Assistant → AI Transactions
  • Platform Contact Support tickets: store owner on any plan (free trial / free / paid). Wallet auto top-up still requires a paid Stripe subscription.
  • Public Help AI Chat does not use store AI credits. Signed-in users may still get answers that reference live store settings.
